Kimberly Petersen paints small, impressionistic seascapes. Taken with the gorgeous coastlines of New England, and the inlets leading to the sea, Petersen has found her voice as an artist. Her small oil and acrylic paintings have a romantic feel and charmed sense of light. Petersen’s finished works are dramatically paired with custom frames made of reclaimed and vintage wood sourced near her home.
Petersen has worked under several accomplished artists and has been featured at the Old Lyme Art Gallery. Her work can regularly be seen throughout Old Saybrook, Westbrook and Essex, Connecticut.
Blink is pleased to be the first gallery in Rhode Island to feature Petersen’s work. Petersen resides in Westbrook, CT with her husband in a tree house they built together. She comes to Newport often, and our local scenes are represented in her work.
